BARC lost an important part of its history last week. Rosemarie “Ronnie” Cassin passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
During her more than 30 years with BARC, she was instrumental in the growth of both our day and our residential programs. Her advocacy for people with developmental disabilities is unmatched, and she is a role model to all of us who work at BARC. Ronnie’s relentless commitment transformed not only our organization but also countless lives, breaking down barriers and championing the rights and dignity of every individual. Her legacy of compassion and justice will echo for generations, setting a powerful standard for advocacy and inclusivity.
She will be missed.
