Ivonne Daigle, the Associate Executive Director, oversees BARC’s Residential and Day programs. In this role, she has helped expand the services offered to individuals in the local area including assisting in opening a new Residential home and supporting the reinvigorated Recreational Program.

Ivonne brings to the role decades of experience working with individuals with differing abilities, starting with her older brother, who had serious physical and development disabilities. At a young age, she learned how to connect with this population and learned how to be an advocate for them. She started her career working with this population while in Maine and soon applied to BARC after moving to Bristol, CT.

Among her many accomplishments, she was also the YWCA New Britain 2019 Woman in Leadership Honoree as well as BARC’s Employee of the Year in 2017.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Bowdoin College. When Ivonne is not at BARC, she enjoys going to the movies, gardening, and creating fiber crafts.

“BARC has provided a place for me to increase my skills and build a career.”
