Furlough Days: Executive Director, Mary Etter, writes letter to editor!

BARC’s executive director Mary Etter wrote this letter to the editor last month. She talked about her concern regarding the lack of a state budget and how that affects BARC, its program participants and its staff.

We are facing another furlough day, August 23, where day programs will be closed. Residential providers and families will again have to scramble to arrange care for their individuals.

Please contact your legislators and ask that they work toward a responsible budget that appropriately funds services for people with developmental disabilities!
