Bristol ARC's Board of Directors hires new Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Bristol Adult Resource Center is pleased to announce that Mary Etter has been named Executive Director. Mary will fill the position recently vacated by the retiring Judy Gebben.

In her most recent roles as Associate Executive Director and Finance Director, Mary has cultivated the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully lead the organization. Since joining BARC in October 2012, Mary has proven herself to be a dedicated and enthusiastic advocate for our mission.

BARC faces an uphill battle to continue offering vital programs and services to our clients despite significant state budget cuts. It’s imperative that we continue to build on our successes, namely our dedicated staff of hardworking individuals. We recognize that to meet the challenges of the future, we must strengthen our organizational culture in support of our mission, vision and values. The Board of Directors looks forward to partnering with Mary, members of the management team, and all employees to continue a long tradition of helping Bristol's adults with disabilities maximize independence and inclusion in our community.

We recognize that only through the efforts of many, can we accomplish our mission. So it is in this spirit that we ask everyone to join the Board of Directors in supporting Mary in her leadership role.
